Managing data quality in large and complex organisations can be a challenge. We have extensive experience defining, implementing and running data governance and data management processes in a wide range of industries and organisations.
ISO 8000-61 provides a useful framework (illustrated above) defining the different processes supporting effective data quality management. Implementation typically requires pragmatic enhancements to existing activities by ensuring that there is a suitable focus on data and information.
This framework can be strengthened to become a Data Governance framework by adding Change Management, an Escalation Process and appropriate behavioural, ethical, privacy and security approaches.
Typical client engagements start with a data quality management maturity assessment and delivery of data quality management training. This can be followed by Consultancy services, provision of Virtual CDO or ‘Critical Friend’ support and defining coherent approaches to data.
